Scott Tarpley, President and CEO
Scott Tarpley is the founding President and Chief Executive Officer of Disaster Equipment and The Drying Team, which are both international leaders in the restoration industry. For more than 30 years, Scott has serviced property owners, and restoration companies with insurance losses with outstanding success. In his years of leadership, the companies have grown from performing local residential work to assisting other companies with the drying and equipment needs both nationally and internationally. He loves his career and working during catastrophic events.
Scott grew up in and currently resides in middle Tennessee. In his teenage and younger adult life, Scott enjoyed being a paramedic and Chief of Giles County Rescue Squad. His wife, Pamela, also worked / volunteered in those fields and now works with him in the restoration industry. Together, they have three daughters. In his spare time, Scott enjoys NASCAR races, boating and jug fishing with his grandchildren.
Scott Tarpley offers more than thirty five years of proven experience in the property restoration industry. Throughout his career, Scott has managed multiple large-loss commercial projects including a $4.7 million dollar loss for the Bay St Louis School District following severe damage from Hurricane Katrina, the Bridgestone – Firestone Corporate Headquarters located in Nashville, Tennessee in excess of $1.1 million dollars, the Warwick Mall Rhode Island $2.9 million flood loss, the South Lake Tahoe personal residence of Charles Schwab and hundreds of other commercial projects. The scope of his expertise has spanned virtually all aspects of the cleaning and restoration industry. In 2001, International Society of Cleaning Technicians awarded Restoration Specialist, Inc., now known as The Drying Team, as Top Firm of the Year and Bridgestone Firestone awarded the company for the “Outstanding Efforts in the Repair and Renovation” of the Bridgestone Firestone Corporate Headquarters.
Dry-Pro invited Scott to be a part of a Product Demonstration held in Houston, TX in 2004. Along with several other restoration industry leaders, Scott studied the drying process and was honored to help develop this breakthrough study of new drying equipment.
